How it works

SEAI grant

The big one: up to €12,500.

The heat pump grant is the largest home energy grant in Ireland, and the reason a heat pump can cost less than a boiler to install. It's actually three grants stacked together — and we handle the whole application.

Not an actual cheque — better: it comes straight off your Toasty bill, and we file the claim.

the state, basically

Do I qualify?

  • Your home was built and occupied before 2021
  • You're replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric heating system (that's what unlocks the €4,000 renewable heat bonus)
  • The home passes a heat-loss assessment — a check that it holds heat well enough for a heat pump to run cheaply
  • The work is done by an SEAI-registered installer (that's us sorted)

How claiming works

  • You don't apply — we do. The application goes in before any work starts.
  • SEAI approval usually lands within a few weeks; work can only begin after it.
  • The grant is deducted from your bill — you never wait for a refund cheque.
  • If the heat-loss check says insulation first, insulation has its own grants and we'll price that path honestly.
