How it works

SEAI grant

Most of the cost, covered.

Attic and cavity wall insulation grants are the most generous in the whole scheme relative to the job — they cover the large majority of a typical install. If your home is cold, this is where the state most wants to help.

Not an actual cheque — better: it comes straight off your Toasty bill, and we file the claim.

the state, basically

Do I qualify?

  • Your home was built and occupied before 2011 (insulation grants reach newer homes than the heat pump grant)
  • The area hasn't already been grant-aided for the same measure
  • Works are done by an SEAI-registered company to current standards

How claiming works

  • We apply before the work and the grant comes off your bill.
  • Attic and cavity can be done — and claimed — together, usually in a single day.
  • Amounts vary by house type (detached gets more than a mid-terrace); your estimate shows your exact figures.
